How will analysis help me? I want to feel better.

Analytic therapy will increase self-awareness, enabling you to understand why you are the way you are, how you became that way and of greatest importance, how you want to live now and in the future. With this knowledge, you will ultimately be able to effect deep and permanent changes in yourself and your life.  Our therapeutic relationship facilitates safe introspection, because we work collaboratively as a team.  You will teach me about who you are, and I will help you grow.  This thoughtful process is called “working through.”  Along with facilitating psychological, behavioral and relationship changes, psychoanalytic working through slowly begins to alter your brain’s neurological patterns, so your personal response style will shift, also.
